September has, is and always will be my favorite month!
For me it's the best month
the weather is glorious....
I admit it's been a bit wild this year
from Hurricanes to unbelievable amounts of rain
but when the storms settle
calm returns
I can't help but smile
because September is one long celebration...
of Thanks
for the summer we've had
for the memories we've made
for the family vacation
for the pool days
for the wet foot prints I followed down the wood hallway
for the countless heaps of pool towels i picked up from being discarded so effortlessly onto the floor
September is also about embracing the new...
a fresh start to a new school year
new growth
reaching new heights
&
mastering the new schedule...
this year I'm in the car
a whole lot more
parked,
waiting,
in the car...
but I've already discovered a silver lining about the increase of car time...
I'm finally finding the time to read...
a book
not my phone
{well trying to limit my phone time...I'm a bit weak...
but at least I'm making the effort to pick up a book}
September begins a shift in the weather
a tease
it dips up and then down
it brings back a beloved treat to my day..
Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks is back...
this means one thing...
fall is fast approaching
which has me working fast and furiously
I'm tackling everything I couldn't do during summer break or while I was away kayaking in the Pacific Northwest!
I've been on the purge the house kick
tearing my way through closets
the pantry
drawers
garage
nothing is off limits
if its not tied down and absolutely positively loved it's finding it's way to our local thrift store
Fall is all about giving..
so why not start in September I say!!!
&
while I've been donating I've been planning my next decorating challenge...
I've been bitten by the...
wallpaper bug!
Gasp
Gasp
drop your latte
shocking i know
but I can't believe how fun the hunt has been for the right print!!!
And how fun it has been trying to pitch my brilliant idea to darling husband...
So, here's to celebrating sweet September.. saying a long stretched out farewell to lazy summer days
and hello to the Pumpkin Spiced latte!
xoxo,

This is a project after my own heart. I am ditching items too in hopes that the payoff is larger than life. I am going to make another cup of coffee now.
Hi there!
September is also my favorite month with October being a close second! There's something about the cool nights, sweater weather and the crunch of leaves beneath my shoes that has me feeling settled.
Gail
Sounds like you have been so productive!!
I love fall too. I tried on some great fall shoes today...and looked at some cute sweaters. I couldn't get to the purchasing phase. I guess because it was about 80 degrees today. I need to really enjoy that after all the rain.

ooh why did you mention the pumpkin latte?? I LOVE THE PUMPKIN LATTE. now i need to get in there...and while i'm there i need a book. great inspiration. need to embrace fall even though it really doesn't feel like it yet:)
Mmm I'm off to Starbucks tomorrow to get one of those lattes... Jeez I love fall! Lx
You have to have a pumpkin scone to round it all out! I love September too. Can't wait to see your wall paper. GIve tips if you are hanging it yourself... I would love to give it a try!

Sounds all too familiar. We had quite a large garage sale towards the end of summer. And could quite possibly have another if we really got serious. Funny how things accumulate! Love the pumpkin spice latte', minus the gingerbread for sf vanilla! That's my mix! Have a great day!
Love the pic in this post - those shoes are absolutely gorgeous!! I also get such a warm cozy feeling this time of year as the season changes and the holidays are right around the corner. I'm looking forward to all the good times ahead for sure! Also, I can't wait to see your wallpaper project. Very exciting!
you are so cute! i love your post! i too am loving the wallpaper just not sure where to put it! hope you are well! xo susan
I've always loved watching the leaves gradually change and crunch under my feet. No colourful maples in Dubai - or cuddly sweaters until maybe Christmas?
can you wallpaper my mini van? because I LIVE IN IT!
had to do a McLatte today...funds are low for Starbucks :-(
I am all for embracing the fall
season of giving
and looking for the everyday miracles we need to give thanks for
I love you Lulu
I really really do
