Madly, Deeply, Crazy For Slipcovers....

lOVE, sWEET, lOVE....
Last month this is the chair I found vintaging. When I saw the size and shape of the chair and then looked at the legs.... I was head over hills in love!
The condition of the chair is fantastic... no holes, stains, or odors (don' t laugh, but when a chair is going to be used, a lot, in my family room you have to smell it!)
After I came home and washed the legs and vacuumed it really well I knew the only thing it needed was a slipcover to transform it into a dreamy chair.
I am crazy, madly, loving, everything about "duck cloth".
The texture of duck cloth is magical with four children.
It can handle the wear from the kids sitting and rolling all over it.
And when the dreaded sticky hands makes contact with the fabric before soapy water, my heart skips a beat for a second (it's just instinct, to take a deep breath and cringe) then off the slipcover comes and into the washer is goes... comes out the a few wrinkles that gives it the "come sit on me all day" look that I love!
And did I mention the price is right!!!
This is how my morning started.
Dropped the girls off at school and headed to Slipcover Cottage, my friends house, to pick up my chair all dressed up in it's new slipcover.
She emailed me last night to tell me she was done... I squealed in delight!
Then I squealed again when I saw it....
She worked her magic....
I loved the legs so I asked for ties...
all four legs are wrapped....

What a morning!
I want to sit in it all day, but I have to pull myself away to get somethings done.
Here's to a "ducky" Tuesday!
